Our Day Today
Presentations for our Animal Research Projects begin TOMORROW!!!!
This week is the start of piecing a full story together, starting at the very beginning. Our topic for our story is a Scarecrow, for a fun Fall Theme! We began the lesson by creating a Circle Map to show what a Scarecrow sees, looks like, and what they might do.
To go along with our Scarecrow writing theme, we are also working on sequencing a story. All stories have a Beginning, More than one Middle, and an End. We learned to use our hands to show these different parts. At home we know that when we finish reading a book, we can check our own comprehension by using this method!! We read the book, The Lonely Scarecrow to practice with.
We are continuing to practice Place Value today and tomorrow. Today we focused on taking whole numbers apart and writing them in Extended Form.
