Today, we talked about one last type of written text. We learned how to rap! We can express ourselves through written lyrics of songs and raps. We practiced our skills by rapping very famous Fairytales such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears! After our raps were finished, we talked about another kind of story that is similar to a fairy tale. FABLES! We discussed the different fables that we already knew from our first grade performance of "Sing A Song of Aesop." These stories all taught very important lessons, or morals. After reviewing the morals in the fables we were already familiar with, we read some other Aesop's Fables to see if we could get the moral of those stories as well. We had an assessment to see if we could compare and contrast fairy tales and fables.

Would you be willing to share the full versions of the poems? Did you write them or find them in a book?
