Our Day Today!
Today we added writing to the pictures we have been creating all week. We did some thinking about what we drew on the paper and practiced saying our story out loud, so that it would be easier to write on the paper. Then we practiced writing a draft on the Writing Paper.
After finishing our discussion over Pinkerton PRIDE this week, we worked to create a classroom poster together. Each learner traced, colored/designed, and cut out their hands on paper. These will be placed on a special poster that will hang in the classroom for the whole school year! (Pictures of the poster will be on here next week!)
After everything we learned this week about Pinkerton PRIDE, Learner Profile Traits, and School Rules, we worked together to write our Essential Agreements for 1C. To make the thought process more fun, we reviewed the usual rules at school by creating a T-Chart of the things that David does wrong in the book David Goes to School. After listing the things he did that were wrong, we listed the things that he should have done instead. Then we all enjoyed some fun craft time to make our own David!
