Our Day Today
For a little Halloween fun, we practiced writing SPOOKY sentences by drawing a chilling Halloween scene and then writing a sentence about it. The learners had a great time exploring their own ideas today!
During ELAR time we read Trick or Treat, Little Critter and talked about the importance of being safe while Trick or Treating on Halloween night.
Today was all about Liquids. We were hands on with multiple examples of how many liquids can have different consistencies, as well as how a liquid takes the shape of its container. The learners were very curious about the different types of liquids they had and came up with some great inquiries.
We started learning how to properly add and write number sentences today. By using a couple of games, the learners practiced how to find a total without all information directly given. For example: There are 7 counters. Some are hidden inside a cup and 4 are shown outside the cup. How many are hidden?
