Christmas Around the World! This week we are travelling around the world to see how other countries celebrate Christmas! We will be going to The United States, Mexico, Germany, England, Italy, and France! We will see all of their Christmas traditions and learn how they celebrate! The United StatesThe US tradition is to put up a Christmas Tree and hang stockings! There are many really fun Christmas Carols to sing and fun Christmas movies to watch! In America, we call Santa, Santa Claus! We celebrated by making ornaments, coloring fun North Pole pictures, and making Magic Reindeer Food! We also read the book, Twas The Night Before Christmas. The next countries we visit will require a passport and a plane ticket! Before each visit, we will board a "plane" and watch the safety video before take-off!
MexicoHola mi amigos! Today we visited Mexico and learned to say "Feliz Navidad!" In Mexico, the traditional celebration is a 9 Day celebration of Las Posadas. We also learned about the legend of the poinsettia flower and why it is used as a symbol of Christmas in Mexico! This week's Math fun!We will be doing all sorts of fun Holiday themed Math Games this week! Today we color coded a tree by making a Christmas Tree Glyph!
