We did some really fun experiments with the weather today! We explored the wind and wind direction by making wind socks, we explored thermometers and how temperature can change, and we talked about extreme weather by simulating a rain storm! We also read the book When the Wind Blows by Stacy Clark. This book led to some amazing discussions about how the wind can create electricity and help people every day! We got on PebbleGo today and explored different types of extreme weather. We looked at blizzards, hurricanes, thunderstorms, lightning, and tornadoes! Then we simulated a rainstorm! We have also been working on writing weather reports of our own! We will be young Meteorologists and will present a weather report to the rest of the class on Friday! Our superstar of the week this week is Arissa! Arissa is a superstar because she loves to pose! She is happiest when she is playing with her mom and she is proud of herself because she is amazing at drawing. When she grows up, Arissa wants to be a teacher. Her favorite school subject is reading and her favorite book is Snow White. THANK YOU, ARISSA!!!
