We had such a fun day today! Last Friday and some this morning, we worked on a fun saving and spending project about going to Six Flags! With a partner, we planned out a trip to Six Flags with $20 to spend! We have been working so hard to read independently during our Literacy Stations! We have really enjoyed rotating through Word Work, Working on Writing, Listening to Reading, and Reading to a Buddy! We have also all gotten great at reading stamina during Reading to Ourselves. Our First Grade Farmer’s Market is coming up next Thursday. We have been tending to our crops and preparing the garden for harvesting next week! Today we learned about the different job options to work at the farmer’s market. We will each fill out a resume and describe our strengths. Then each of us will choose a job to apply for and create a presentation telling why we should have that job. We will find out what jobs we have at the end of the week! Emma C. has been raising painted lady butterflies at home. Today she brought them to school to release them in the garden! We loved watching them all fly away! We loved watching this creative performance today! These awesome third graders created their own stories for their performance! We had our second trip to DQ today! This time Ty, Anagha, Sankeerth, Madison, Julia, and Neevi paid their 100 tickets to go!
