We put what we learned about force of motion to the test today, by building with Marble Works! Our task was to create a marble maze and then use our motion words to describe the force of motion that was happening to the marble as it moved through the maze. Before using our directional words, we reviewed the words by placing the words in alphabetical order with a partner and then described each word to one another. Once we felt really good about using these words, we put our knowledge to the test with the Marble Works! The task was to collaborate with a group of 3 people to work together to create a functioning marble maze that moved the marble on its own and stood by itself. We were challenged to use as many of the pieces as possible and then find ways to show as many directions of motion as possible. We videoed our explanations below!
