We did a lot of fun things with Animal Habitats today! Reading and Writing fell right in line with our unit, so we spent a lot of really good time exploring different habitats like the jungle, the ocean, the arctic, and the desert! We did a great activity to see if we could guess which animals would live in each. After talking about habitats, we spent some more time with the book A House Is A House For me. Today we compared our homes with the habitat that we had been looking at. It was a really fun thinking activity that required a lot of outside the box ideas! We looked at the different animal homes that we had brainstormed about before with our circle maps and tree maps, and started the writing process! We put information into a flow map or "Stop Light Writing," and organized our writing. We took our first visit to the computer lab today to practice logging on to the computers and Istation! It went really well and we all had a great time!
