We are taking the neon green opening sentences from last week and turning them into a writing piece this week! We will be writing about our favorite animals. We talked about the difference between animals that depend on humans to survive and animals that live in the wild that survive on their own. First we looked at our Isopods and talked about what they needed to survive in our classroom. Then we worked in groups to make a circle map about other animals that depend on humans to survive. We had a very special visitor come in to our classroom today! Pearl the Hamster came in and rolled around the classroom for us to observe how she depends on her humans to survive. We explored some really fun games about place value to review what we have been learning in math! Our Super Star of the Week this week is Bo! Bo is a super star because of his awesome personality. He is happiest when he is playing and is proud of himself because he has friends and family. When he grows up, Bo wants to be a builder. His favorite school subject is extended planning (extra specials time) and his favorite book is The Giving Tree. Thank you, Bo!!
