We started learning about our think not skills this week. In this station, we will be doing puzzles and coding on the iPads! Magnets are very interesting! We explored how magnets repel and attract certain things, like different kinds of metal. Magnets are a naturally occurring thing in our world and are important for many things that we use every day. We did a magnet investigation to see what other types of things are magnetic and non-magnetic. We learned about three major important sources of energy today! We started out by sorting a set of mystery cards into categories. It was fun to see how these cards could be sorted without knowing the categories before. We took what we learned and made a tree map together of different things that have these forms of energy. Then we split up into three groups to discuss why each form of energy is so important to us and our planet. Writing Super Sentences:We are learning to be super sentence writers this week! First we learned how to make our sentences look like super sentences by making sure they begin with a capital letter, have spaces between words, and end with punctuation. The last couple days, we have learned to make our sentences sound like super sentences by making sure they are complete sentences! We learned what run-on and fragments are.
