We are practicing how to solve word problems with bigger numbers! We used Base 10 blocks to make adding these bigger numbers easier! We are continuing with our fun writing piece. We made a tree map yesterday and today we did our stop light writing. We also read a very fun book to give us some great ideas. We have investigated two more incredible animal adaptations! Yesterday we explored camouflage! Animals use camouflage to hide from predators as a defense, but also as a way to hide from prey. We read a fun book to show us the importance of being camouflaged! We also watched a very cool video about the top 25 most camouflaged animals! Then we used our knowledge of camouflage to help hide our own fish! Bird have adapted in so many different ways! Their beaks are amazing tools. We explored some different types of beaks in this neat book. We used different tools to represent different bird beaks with a variety of foods. Each utensil represents a beak. We explored andnonvestogated which ones worked the best to pick up each food.
