We have had a very fun week! The parent presentations have been very interesting and we are learning a lot about our families. All families are special and unique in their own ways. We all have different things that make our family our own. We read a great book that talks a lot about special traditions and family. The Keeping Quilt is a wonderful book about a quilt that has been passed through generations of the author’s family. We looked at a quilt to see how much intricate work goes in to making one. We are making our own unique family quilt with paper to share some special things about our families. We are also learning to sort words in alphabetical order. We watched a fun video to teach us how to do this skill, and then we practiced with a fun Smartboard activity together. After our practice, we applied what we learned by doing a cut and paste activity with words from the book we read.
