Our Day Today!
We are still working with Go Math to make tens and ones. We have been using connecting cubes to model tens and ones with different two digit numbers up to 50. Today we started using our Base 10 blocks to count tens and ones!
We are working on using our imaginations to draw a picture that we will be turning into a story. We talked about how writers don't always have to write about what is real, they can make things up. We had started our pictures earlier in the week, and today went back to our pictures to add details. We thought about what things we might be hearing in the picture and what things we might be feeling, and added some labels to it.
We have have started learning about our literacy stations! We will start with the "Reading to Myself" station. In this station we will read books by ourselves and find a comfy place to do so in the classroom. We have been practicing how to do this all week. Today we reviewed what we are doing during "Read to Self" and what our teacher is doing during "Read to Self."
What is a scientist? We explored this question a little more today and then conducted our own experiment with colors! We used our primary colors to make secondary colors on a Color Wheel! Then we recorded our findings in our IB Journals.
